Amazlab DL3B, Desk light
Rating 5/5
The Amazlab DL3B is hands down the best desk light I have used.
The head is made out of aluminum in order to dissipate the heat generated by the LEDs.
The core is flexible yet stiff and easily holds the desired position.
The clamp is ridiculously strong. The amount of force that it asks to the desk makes it impossible to move it, even if you want to.
The illumination provided is more than enough for most of the tasks. The claimed 250 lumens are a totally accurate estimation.
A very interesting feature is the infinite dimming of the LEDs. Holding down the power button results in dimming/brightening of the LEDs. The luminous flux can be dropped to the point that the LEDs are barely lit.
The operation of the desk light is self explanatory.
Touching the button on the tip of the light will toggle it on to the max brightness.
Unfortunately, there isn't a memory that can restore the brightness to the previously set level upon turning on.
User is given two options in regards to powering the device.
Plugging the lamp to your computer's USB is the first option.
Additionally, the manufacturer includes a power brick in the original box.
The specifications of charger are listed below:
Plug type: UK
Input: 100/240V 50/60hZ 0.5A
Output: 5V 1.0A
For the time being, I have used the lamp only by having it plugged into my computers USB port and it seems that it is working fine.
Except from the lamp and the power brick, there was also a detailed manual included in the package.
