Aukey USB 3.0 HDD Enclosure Case

The device is excellent for transforming 2.5" old HDDs / SSDs into external storage devices.
The enclosure is made out of matte black plastic which keeps the overall weight low and provides enough durability.

In order to open the enclosure, the upper plate has to be slided away.
The inner portion can fit an 2.5" sized disc while the foam padding on the top cover gives the storage devicea fair amount of protection.
Overall, installing the drives is an easy job and no tools are required.

The enclosure is connected to the PC via a USB3 cable that the manufacturer includes in the original package.The cable is used both for powering the storage device and transferring data.
After testing the enclosure with various disks, I came to the conclusion that the transfer speed of the disks aren't affected at all by the USB3 protocol.

Lastly, it is worth noting that there is an LED integrated next to the USB port of the device.
The led is used to notify the user about the activity on the disk.
All in all, the enclosure is well worth its money and I would recommend it to anyone.
