Globmall T95X, 4K Android TV Box
Rating: 5/5
The specifications of the machine are pretty good considering its price range.
You get a Quad Core CPU @ 2.0 GHz, 1GB Ram and 8GB internal storage.
Connectivity-wise there are 2 USB ports, an Ethernet port, and HDMI port, Audio/Video ports, WiFi as well as an SD card slot.
Due to the strong WiFi reception, I never actually felt the need to make use of the Ethernet port.
The box runs on Android 6.0 and the user experience is quite similar to using a smartphone.
The UI skin that is being used is user friendly and allows for quick access to the most used functions of the device.
The whole user experience is smooth and the applications tend to load surprisingly fast.
As for thermals, the box runs pretty cool despite its all plastic construction.
Several apps came pre-installed with the device (Google Play, Kodi, YouTube, File manager etc.)
I have been using the box primarily for consuming media content and I must say that its performance is excellent.
The maximum resolution supported is 4K while 1080p at 60fps is also supported.
Additionally, the manufacturer has also implemented an HDR mode in order to enhance color reproduction.
The included remote control is compact but feature rich.
The maximum range I was able to use it is around 20 meters. Every button in the remote responds as expected.
There is even a mouse button which emulates a virtual mouse using the arrow keys.
The box contained the following accessories:
1. HDMI cable
2. Power brick rated at 5V @ 2A
3. Remote control
