Aglaia 400 Lumen Bike Light
The bike light by Aglaia is an excellent gadget for bikers.
The body of the light is made out of aluminum.
In order to ensure waterproofness, none of the internal parts of the light are easily removable.
Overall the construction of the light seems very durable and the metal being used allows for better heat dissipation.
The light uses an XP-G2 emitter which is known for its tight beam.
In order to provide a wider beam and a more diffused light pattern, a matte surfaced front glass is being used.
According to the manufacturer, the maximum lumen output is rated at 400 Lumen and judging by experience, the rated luminous flux is accurate.
The UI of the light is very user friendly.
Pressing the button for 2 seconds turn on/off the light. Due to mode memory, the light will go to the last used mode.
Once the light is on, the user can go through the four main lighting modes (Low->Mid->High->SOS) by single pressing the switch.
Additionally, the light has also a strobe mode which can be accessed by a 4 second constant press on the switch.
Of course, the main advantage of such light is its integrated rechargeable battery.
The manufacturer rates its capacity at around 2.500mAh.
I only tested the runtime of the light at Low and I got around 8 hours of continues usage, which is on par with the manufacturer rated runtimes.
The battery can be recharged via a regular microUSB to USB phone charger. Each charge cycle should take around 2.5 hours.
Lastly, the light arrived with a durable bike mount, a microUSB cable, a manual and a warranty card.
