OMorc External CD DVD Drive

The DVD drive is made out of ABS plastic which is given a metallic silver finish.
its overall design is simple and elegant and should match with most people's desk setups, while its compact dimensions and light weight make it very portable.

The DVD drive is powered by a regular USB 2.0 cable which is permanently attached to the back of the device.
The cable itself is pretty short but that's to be expected as the drive is intended mainly for portable systems.

Operating the drive is an easy task. In order to pop the disc tray the eject button has to be pressed once (while the device is plugged in).
Additionally, there is a safety pin slot that allows the drive to be ejected even when no power is available.

Read and write speeds are pretty good.
It supports up to 24XCD-R read/write speeds and 8XDVD read.
The noise generated by the spinning disk is very low, which really impressed me.
Of course, no lag is encountered during media playback from a CD/DVD.

Despite the fact that the manufacturer hasn't specified it, the drive is totally usable in a Linux
operating system. I was able to get it running without having to install any additional drivers.
As expected, the drive worked flawlessly on Windows 10 as well.
