SecurityIng Scuba Diving flashligh

Rating: 5/5

The design of the flashlight is simple and elegant, which I really like.
Both the body and the head are made out of metal that has been given a matte black finish.
Additionally, the head has heat sink fins that help in spreading the heat away from the chip, while the
tail's design keeps the light from rolling.
Of course, there aren't any buttons as we are talking about a real diving flashlight. In order for the
light to turn on, the body has to be twisted clockwise.

As expected, the most important feature of the torch is its waterproofness.
In order to achieve the maximum performance, the flashlight is using three pieces of o-ring as well as a 5mm toughed glass design. As a result, it can be submerged down to 150m of water.
I have not been given the chance to test it under high water pressure conditions, but so far it has been
doing great on day to day tasks.

The flashlight makes use of an XM-L2 LED, which is known among the flashlight community both for its high output as well as its efficiency.
It can accept a regular AA battery or a lithium 14500. If a lithium one is used, then according to the
manufacturer the light can output up to 570 lumens.
On the other hand, I estimated that the output from a regular AA is around 200 lumens, which is more than enough for most tasks.

Except from the flashlight, there was also a great deal of accessories included in the box: 3 extra O-rings, a lanyard, a manual and a rotation bracket.
Especially the bracket is a very handy tool that allows the user to mount the light on his hat or belt for hands-free operation.
