W-KING Bluetooth Speaker
Rating: 5/5
The whole construction seems strong and rugged.
The device is made out of plastic, while there is an outer shell that is made out of rubber and is meant to protect it from fall damage.
There is also a rubber lanyard attached to the device for easier handling.
The speaker grills are metallic and have an "X" shape molded in the center.
Sound quality is great. All of the frequencies sound natural, while bass is extremely strong and deep if you take into consideration the size of the speakers.
The output level is very high. The manufacturer claims that the driver output is 3W and the number seems to match the real world performance of the speaker.
Operating the Bluetooth speaker is an easy task.
There are 4 buttons in total that are used to control the device:
1. Power On/Off
2. Volume Down,Previous Song
3. Play/Pause Music, Answer calls
4. Volume Up, Next song
The device supports music playback both from Bluetooth and AUX cable.
What I found really surprising is the fact that playback from TF card is also supported.
There is a little TF card insert in the side flap of the device which enables the user to use his microSD cardsto playback music from.
The integrated microphone is perfect for making calls using the speaker.
The voice transferred is clear and crisp and there aren't any signs of static noise being transmitted.
According to the manufacturer, the device is IPX6 rated.
To test its water resistance, I tried dumping the speaker in a bowl of water. As expected,
no problems were encountered with the operation of the device.
As far as battery life is concerned, I was able to get around 11 hours of continuous music playback in a relatively high volume level, while charging took around 2 hours.
I personally found the battery life of the device to be pretty impressive.
