COWIN E-7 NC, Bluetooth Headphones

Rating: 5/5

Build Quality
The build quality is amazing. The frame of the headphones is metal, while the earcups casing is made out of glossy plastic which is given a metallic finish.
The weight of the headphones is relatively low and as a result they wear pretty comfortable.
Both the earcups and the head piece contain soft foam padding and are covered by PU leather
Additionally, the earcups can be rotated up to 90 degrees, which allows them to be stored easily and provide great comfort when they are placed around the neck.

Sound quality
The sound coming out of the drivers is very balanced and clear.
The bass is heavy and deep, which really surprised me considering this is a Bluetooth headset.
Mid and high frequencies sound normal, while the output level is very high. As an added note, no distortions were existent even in the maximum volume level.

Comfort
Hands down, these headphones are one of the most comfortable I have ever used - trust me I have tried a few.I believe that the high comfort is a combination of the low weight and the relatively large earcups which are fitting me perfectly.
In addition, the headphones can be manually adjusted to your head's size. The adjusting mechanism has many levels of adjustment and feels stiff which helps in retaining the desired setting.

Microphone
The microphone is located on the bottom side of the left earcup.
The sounds captured by it are clear and crisp while the static noise is absent.

Active Noise Canceling
In the bottom side of the right earcup there is the power switch of the headphones.
If the 'NC' setting is selected, the active noise canceling system of the headphones is turned on.
The feature is very useful for placing with lots of ambient noises.
I am actually very impressed by its performance. When turned on, I can't hear any external noises - I can't even hear my own voice. As you can imagine, the feature is the definite advantage of the headset.

Battery
The battery life of the headset is awesome.I have been using it for a week and I only had to recharge it once. The claimed 30-hour battery life is definitely possible.
The device is using a removable 800mAh battery located in the left earpiece.
Charging is accomplished via a regular microUSB cable. A full charge cycle requires around 2.5 hours.

Packaging
The headphones came in a matte black box with nice graphics, which make it perfect for gifts.
Except from the headphones, there was also a 3.5mm to 3.5mm cable, a microUSB cable and a high quality PU leather carrying pouch.

Compatibility
I was able to connect to the headphones both from my PC (using Linux) and my Android phone.
The pairing process is very simple and can be accomplished in a matter of seconds.
