Havit MS995GT, Wireless Gaming Mouse
Rating: 4/5
The Havit MS995GT is a great wireless gaming mouse.
It feels sturdy on hand and has a certain amount of weight to it which matched perfectly my personal
preference.
Its gaming performance is pretty good despite being a wireless mouse.
There are no signs of input lag while jittering is absent as well.
The maximum range from which I was able to operate the mouse is around 10 meters.
The only disadvantage I found is the fact that when you want to change the position of the mouse you need to raise it quite high in order to prevent its sensor from registering the movement.
Comfort wise, the mouse feels great. Its sides are rubberized for increased grip and have a dotted texture. The weight is distributed evenly and the mouse feels pretty balanced.
In the bottom of the mouse there are two big slider pads which make it slide smooth on most surfaces.
There are 7 buttons in total, with all of them being programmable through the software provided by the manufacturer.
The lighting color and effect is also programmable. The provided software enables the user to choose both the color for each of the 6 DPI levels (500-3500).
Overall, the software provides a great deal of customization which greatly improves the user experience.
It is also worth mentioning that the lighting can be turned off using the switch in the bottom of the mouse.
A certain benefit of this mouse is its rechargeable 800mAh battery .
With a full charge, the user should easily get through a week of heavy usage.
The mouse can also be operated, even if it is completely discharged, using the included USB cable.
I wasn't expecting much from the cable's quality, but I was surprised when I realized that it is braided.
The mouse doesn't need any additional drivers to get it fully working. It was tested both under Windows and Linux. The program included in the mini CD is only necessary for further customization of the mouse.
