VicTsing LED Strip
Rating: 5/5
The strip contains multiple LED chips. Each chip contains three different colored LEDs (RGB).
By providing different current to each LED, the controller can reproduce a wide range of colors.
The total length of the is around 100cm, while the USB cable's length is another 50cm.
As it is expected, the strip can be trimmed to the desired size. The remaining strip can be reused pretty easily provided that you have a power/control adapter and some basic soldering skills.
The LEDs illumination is very bright and the colors are saturated and vibrant.
Despite their high output, the LEDs are power efficient and don't get warm even on long sessions of usage. In addition, the adhesive tape (3M 300MP) is very strong and easily supports the weight on pretty much every surface.
The color as well as the lighting mode of the strip can be adjusted either by the included controller.
The controller lets the user pick between 8 colors and 6 different lighting modes.
Additionally, both the speed of the effects and the light intensity can also be adjusted through the remote.
A definite advantage of the strip is the fact that it runs out of a regular USB port, which means that it can be plugged directly into your computer.
I went as far as measuring the current that was drawn during usage.
Every color pulled 0.34A from the charger except the white that pulled 0.7A.
In each case, the power required by the strip is easily obtainable by your computer's USB port.
The LED strip arrived inside a simple cardboard box which also included the remote controller and a detailed manual.
